EASL - Webcast and platform full service

Since 2019, meta-fusion has been supporting the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) in delivering one of Europe’s largest medical congresses. The EASL Congress brings together thousands of participants from over 100 countries and combines on-site events with a strong digital and on-demand strategy.

Across congresses and additional EASL formats, nearly 6,000 scientific sessions have been delivered through meta-fusion systems and made available via the EASL Campus. The collaboration is shaped by long-term trust, close coordination, and a shared focus on reliable knowledge transfer – ensuring that complex scientific content remains accessible well beyond the live event.

A long-term partnership built on trust, reliability, and shared standards

meta-fusion has been working with the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) since February 2019. What began as a solution-driven collaboration has developed into a long-term partnership supporting EASL’s largest and most complex educational formats.

The EASL Congress is one of the largest medical congresses in Europe. In recent years, the event has brought together many thousands of participants from over 100 countries, both onsite and online. The 2024 congress in Milan and the 2025 edition in Amsterdam continued this scale, combining a strong on-site presence with a significant digital audience and a comprehensive on-demand offering.

Across congresses and additional EASL events, nearly 6,000 scientific presentations have been delivered via meta-fusion systems. This places EASL among the most content-rich medical congresses worldwide. All sessions are made available after the event through the EASL Campus, where on-demand usage plays a central role. Since 2019, EASL has consistently focused on long-term access to scientific content, ensuring that knowledge remains available well beyond the congress dates.

The collaboration began in a dynamic project phase: when an existing supplier failed to deliver, meta-fusion stepped in at short notice and implemented a stable, workable solution. This early experience shaped the relationship. EASL values not only technical reliability, but also the human aspect of the collaboration – clear communication, commitment under pressure, and a strong focus on problem-solving, even beyond formal responsibilities.

From a technical perspective, the EASL Congress is demanding. Large numbers of parallel sessions, complex industry formats, and the early integration of remote speakers required robust workflows and close coordination with multiple partners and on-site teams. Over time, these processes have matured into a well-structured setup based on mutual understanding and experience.

Today, meta-fusion supports EASL with one major annual congress, several smaller events each year, and dedicated studio formats. The partnership is defined by continuity, shared learning, and a common goal: enabling reliable, high-quality knowledge transfer in hepatology.
